There’s a simple little phrase that has been boosting my heart and my mornings lately: “I believe something wonderful is going to happen today.” Saying these words out loud when I wake, even before my feet hit the floor, has become an encouragement for my soul, setting a tone of hopeful expectation for the day ahead.
“I Believe Something Wonderful Is Going To Happen Today”
God does wonderful things in the lives of His believers every day.
The challenge I often faced (often still do) was having my heart postured correctly— but now as I gather myself this morning and make the declaration:
“something wonderful is going to happen today”—
I know it will—directly or indirectly, to me it really doesn’t matter, because seeing the “wonderful” of God in any situation is a blessing we can all share.
Faithful optimism towards life has always been an internal struggle for me. But the endless love of God— the group of people He has chosen for me to serve and fellowship with—has given me the opportunity to see how something wonderful is happening all around the world, I just wasn’t actively seeking it.
Being able to see the hand of God move in the lives of others is truly “Something Wonderful”, but knowing that He has invited me alongside others has pushed me to seek the wonderful things of God everywhere I go.
They truly happen daily, and once your heart is set on the Creator and not the created, the “wonderful” of God can be seen anywhere you go.
